Documents

Documents in MOAS are created as part of the advice tool.

Creating a document

To create a document, click the "New document" button in the top right corner. This will show you a dropdown of all available templates. Documents cannot be created without a template.

Document titles can be edited by clicking on the title in the top left corner.

File options

The file button underneath the document name will open a list of options. These include the following:

  • Create template - create a template based on the current document

  • Theme - select which theme you would like applied to the template

  • Download - download a PDF version of the document

  • Delete - delete the template. This will permanently delete the template, you will not be able to recover it.

Advice options

The advice button underneath the document name will open a list of options. These include the following:

  • Advice type - choose between Review, Statement of Advice and Other.

  • Advice date - this is the date the advice is prepared. It can be used as a Mention in the document.

  • Primary adviser - used to link a primary adviser to the document. Primary adviser can be used as a Mention in the document.

Page options

Here you can toggle page number and footers.

Insert options

You can add multiple types of content per page in the document. See Page Content for more detail.

Sections

At the bottom of the side menu you will see the document sections and pages listed out. Sections can hold any number of pages and have the following options available:

  • Add - add a new section by clicking the plus button in the top right corner. This will add a page by default. Sections must have at least one page.

  • Edit - to edit the section name click on the section title

  • Delete - this deletes the entire section including all pages within and section

  • Add page - add a page within a section by clicking the plus button across from the "pages" header within the section.

Sections can be locked within templates. If you see a locked icon next to a section or a page, this means it must be included in the document and cannot be deleted or the titles cannot be edited.

Clicking on a section title will scroll to the first page in the section. Clicking on a page will scroll to the page.

Re-ordering

Sections and pages within sections can be re-ordered. Drag the re order icon on the left of the section/page name and drag to its new position.

Complete a document

To complete a document, navigate to the "Confirmation" step. Here you will see a list of documents created in the advice, to complete the document click the "Complete" button.
